The nation’s largest annual gathering of the progressive community has a packed schedule spanning five days, with panels aplenty and breakout sessions galore, to say nothing of the keynote speech from Senator Elizabeth Warren. 3 PM – 5 PM: Social and Economic Justice Tour of Detroit + Happy Hour
Join the AFL-CIO and the Michigan Labor History Society as they tour a selection of sites which played a powerful role in the fight for social and economic justice in Detroit. After the site visits end, the tour continues with a happy hour at Anchor Bar, where organizers from the 1996 newspaper strike will share their stories. The event cost is free and includes two drinks at happy hour.

7 PM – 10 PM: Netroots Nation 2014 Kick Off Party
Let the games begin! Settle in for the long weekend with this official event, sponsored by the Michigan Senate Democrats and the DLCC. Michigan Senate Democratic Leader Gretchen Whitmer will be present, along with other special gusts, and every RSVP’d guest receives one complimentary beverage ticket.

5 PM – 7 PM: ShareProgress & ActBlue Happy Hour
The most exciting event of all! Join ShareProgress and ActBlue for a drink (or more!) to celebrate the first full day of #NN14. We’ll be drinking, socializing, and swapping stories about our favorite A/B tests. Best of all, the first drink is on us!

9 PM – 10:30 PM: Laughing Liberally Comedy Show
Event host Netroots Nation is offering some light-hearted fare after the first day of sessions, with those left-leaning folks in mind! Official details are not yet available, but the event sounds like an excellent activity to follow the ShareProgress & ActBlue Happy Hour!

10 PM – 1 AM: Netroots After Dark – Karaoke
Back by popular demand, Netroots is hosting a late-night round of karaoke. Open and available to all willing participants, here’s your chance to perform that Kanye medly you’ve been working on in the shower. The event is sponsored by the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan. We’ve all got steam to blow off following the recent SCOTUS decisions, and who better to do that with than Michigan’s finest Planned Parenthood folks?

6 PM – 8 PM: Union-Made Bacon, Bourbon and Beer
What more could you want than bacon, bourbon and beer? Nothing, that’s right. The genius folks at Working America and UFCW have combined your favorite flavors for a themed happy hour that’s guaranteed to please. Attendance is open to all who RSVP, including the Walmart strikers who’ll be on hand!

6 PM – 7:30 PM: Netroots Nation Happy Hour benefiting Mark Schauer for Governor
Join the official campaign of Mark Schauer for Governor as they invite #NN14 participants to a happy hour at Anchor Bar. Special guests were just announced, so now there’s even greater incentive to attend: Markos Moulitsas (founder and publisher of Daily Kos) and Lizz Winstead (co-founder of Lady Parts Justice and co-creator/former head writer of The Daily Show). Tickets are available at contribution levels ($25, $50, $100).

6:15 PM – 8:15 PM: Chairman’s Pub Quiz – The Reckoning
A fan-favorite, this trivia showdown is back for another year of politics, history, and popular culture. Band together a team and be prepared for a battle royale sponsored by the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee.

9 PM – 1 AM: Motown Rising
Marvel at that sweet Motown sound with Ready for Hillary and Rising Tide Interactive. The event is headlined by one of Detroit’s best Motown bands: KGB. Head to St. Andrews Hall for drinks, food, dancing, and great tunes.

Head to Eastern Market, the nation’s oldest farmers market, to mingle with friends and supporters of MomsRising.org. Summer cocktails and lighter fare will be served.

8 PM – 12 AM: American Bandstand Dance Party
Go out with a bang and finish the weekend with Netroots Nation’s closing party! The annual tradition is hosted at the Michigan Science Center, where you can peruse the exhibits (open late for the event) while enjoying appetizers and cocktails. #NN14 is running a continuous shuttle service from 7:30 PM through 12:30 AM, with stops at the Michigan Science Center, Marriott Renaissance, and Westin Book Cadillac.

10 AM – 1 PM: Recovery Party
Nurse your post-bandstand hangover with the Netroots Nation team, who’ll have coffee, Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and other soothing treats. They’ll even have a DJ spinning ‘chill morning grooves’ (their words, not mine) while you recover and chat with fellow #NN14 attendees.
